22-yr-old stabbed to death

CHENNAI: A 22-year-old woman, a supervisor in a Royapuram supermarket, was murdered on Sunday evening.
According to the police, Anandhi of Sharma Nagar in Vyasarpadi was looking after customers when a man came to the supermarket and asked about Anandhi. An employee pointed towards Anandhi who was talking to a staff member.
The intruder approached her, pulled out a knife and tried to stab her.Anandhi tried to run away and he followed. Meanwhile, the other employee called the remaining staff and the security guards. They found Anandhi lying in a corner with a deep stab wound in her stomach.
She was rushed to the Stanley Government Hospital where she died an hour later. Special police teams have been formed to nab the culprit.
Police sources said Anandhi was engaged to a relative a few days ago and that her lover could have killed her to take revenge. Investigations are on.
