2 students drown in the sea off Marina

Chennai: A 17-year-old college student drowned in the sea off Marina Beach on Saturday evening.The deceased was identified as S Ashraf Ali, of Pudupet, a Class XII student of a school on Santhome High Road On Saturday Ashraf Ali along with his friend Daniel had visited Marina Beach. Around 6pm, when the boys were playing on the beach Ashraf Ali was pulled in by a strong wave. Later his body washed ashore. Police said another student had drowned in the sea on the same day. tnn
