Zoology dept prof PU’s dean of students’ welfare

Chandigarh: Panjab University has appointed Prof Yogesh Kumar Rawal, from the department of zoology, as the new dean students' welfare (DSW) for a one-year term starting Feb 6.An office order issued by the university states that the vice-chancellor approved the appointment on behalf of the Syndicate, under powers granted by the Senate and relevant provisions of the PU Calendar, in anticipation of the Senate approval. Rawal succeeds Amit Chauhan, who previously held the charge. As per the order, Rawal will serve under Regulation I of the university calendar for a period of one year. TNN
