Youth lynched to death

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">AMRITSAR: A 20-year-old youth was lynched to death on Saturday night in the Lohgarh areas, sending shiver among residents who are already panicky by the recent community clashes in the nearby area. <br /><br />However police denies relating the incident with upper and lower cast community clash and describes the same as mere a coincidence.<br /><br />DSP City II Rachpal Singh Ghumman told TNN on Sunday that one Sher Singh alias Shera alias Bunty was murdered with kirpans allegedly by Pankaj, Sunny, Bunty, Johny and Raja after a dispute in a health club who later absconded after committing the crime. <br /><br />Ghumman said police was on haunt for the alleged accused. A case under sections 302, 323, 506, 148, 149 IPC have been registered at police station ''D'' division.<br /><br />SP, City I Pawan Kumar Rai said the incident had nothing to do with the recent clashes at Chhitta Katra . "These boys didn''t have any previous enmity and fought over a small issue in the health club," he said, adding that it was just coincidental that they belonged to the communities who clashed in Chitta Katra area few days ago.<br /><br /><formid=367815></formid=367815></div> </div>
