Police said the woman was a resident of Kesari village in Ambala district. The woman reportedly declined the accusations initially. However, the incident had been captured in the shop’s CCTV cameras. Sadar Police have arrested the woman and have started further proceedings in the case.
The woman during interrogation broke down and revealed that she had a child to feed and school fees to pay for which she had no money. She added that her economic conditions forced her to commit the mistake and she was not a habitual offender.
