Woman kills herself

CHANDIGARH: A resident of Sector 37, Shallu, 24, reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself inside her house on Saturday.
Sources said the body of Shallu was firstly spotted by her husband Amit Roy, who rushed her to a private clinic in Sector 38. The doctors there refused to treat her and referred her to PGI. Police officials maintained the private doctors observed that Shallu had already died.
Sub-inspector Giarsi Lal said the exact cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained.Shallu’s mother, who lives in Ferozepur, was informed. The deceased had tied the knot with Amit three years ago and the couple has a one-and-a-half-year-old son.
Cops have initiated an inquest proceeding in this connection. The postmortem examination would be conducted in the presence of deceased’s mother on Sunday.
