HISAR: The Hansi police have arrested a woman and her lover for allegedly abducting her 3-year-old son. The police produced both of them in the court on Tuesday, from where both were sent to judicial custody.
However, lawyers claimed that parents cannot be held guilty of kidnapping their own children, and the Hansi superintendent of police has said that he will get the matter reviewed.

Hansi police said that on July 9, 2023, the Narnaund police station had registered a case on the complaint of Anil, the father of the abducted boy, against Vijay, under Section 365 (kidnapping or abduction with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person) of the Indian Penal Code.
Anil said that he was married to Pooja in the year 2016. He had a daughter and a son from this wedlock. The daughter is four-years-old and the son is three. However, his wife Pooja left him and their two children and went somewhere about a year ago. Now, the divorce case is in court and both the children are with him, he said.
“On the evening of July 8, Vijay kidnapped my son and took him on a scooty. However, I rescued my son but the scooter slipped and Vijay was injured. Later, he was handed over to the police,” Anil said.
Police said that Vijay was undergoing treatment and was arrested after discharge.
Senior advocate Manmohan Rai said that the mother and father cannot be held guilty of kidnapping their children and they cannot be made accused.
