Will stay put up in Bathinda, will report to MHA upon any rigging: Bittu
Bathinda: Union minister of state Ravneet Singh Bittu has asked civil and police officials not to allow any type of rigging by Aam Aadmi Party members in the May 26 municipal body elections in the state. "Or else, I will personally report every such incident to the Union home ministry," he said. Asking the officials not to obey ‘illegal orders' of the ruling party, Bittu in a veiled warning on Saturday stated that he will be in Bathinda on polling day to "keep an eye on rigging". "A powerful business family is eyeing to wrest power in Bathinda Municipal Corporation. They have not even listened to minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian and Bathinda Urban MLA Jagroop Singh Gill in allotting party tickets. It is due to this attitude of the business family that neither Khudian nor the MLA campaigned for the party in Bathinda," he added.Earlier, Khudian reportedly had a tiff with Punjab AAP in-charge Manish Sisodia over denial of party ticket to one of his known for Bathinda MC.Taking swipe at chief minister Bhagwant Mann over his visit to Gurugram to meet incarcerated Punjab minister Sanjeev Arora, Bittu said Bhagwant Mann and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal had not gone to meet Arora out of any sympathy, "but they went to ask the minister where he had put up all the money."Bittu based his allegations on the statement by AAP-turned-BJP Rajya Sabha member Harbhajan Singh, wherein Singh had accused the AAP leadership of selling seats in Rajya Sabha and also putting ministries on sale. Bittu said world-class cricketer who got the status of Turbanator has now turned Gadaar (traitor) for them as AAP has been bowled over by the Googli and now wickets will be thrown away.Bittu also slammed AAP govt for conducting drug census and said it is shameful that AAP wants to defame Punjabis by branding them as addicts. Why this govt wants to defame Punjabis, if it is really serious it could get details for rehabilitation of those under addiction but AAP has a hidden agenda of collecting data to use it politically and selling the data as data is a big power during the prevailing times as big nations need data.Bittu also accused the AAP govt of pushing the state towards financial emergency by raising loans and using the money for self-promotion.On query about Cockroach Janta Party page getting huge response, Bittu said we know who are behind this and Indians will cleanse the atmosphere by making cockroaches fly away or die down.
