Will invite Hooda for culmination of Sadbhav Yatra, syas Birender
Rohtak: Former Union minister Birender Singh on Thursday said that he would invite former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda to attend the culmination ceremony of the Sadbhav Yatra being led by his son and former MP Brijendra Singh on May 23. The yatra is set to complete its tour across all 90 Assembly segments of Haryana. Addressing mediapersons in Rohtak, Birender said that the state-wide foot march undertaken by Brijendra Singh emerged as a major learning experience, and also helped in reviving the morale of Congress workers after the party's defeat in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections. He said that the Sadbhav Yatra helped reconnect grassroots workers with the party at the Assembly segment level. "Wherever the yatra reached, Congress workers again started engaging actively with the organisation. The participation of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during the Gurgaon leg of the yatra also sent a positive message among party workers," he added. Birender further said many people now expect the Congress in Haryana, often perceived to be divided into factions, to come together on one platform to challenge the ruling BJP in the state.
