Wife, two others booked for murdering man in Patiala

PATIALA

: The police here have booked three persons including a woman for killing a local resident. According to the police the accused woman was having an extramarital affair with a man and this led to a fight between the accused woman and her husband on Saturday after which she murdered him.


The accused was identified as Jaswinder Kaur. The deceased has been identified as Harwinder Singh. The case under sections of murder and criminal conspiracy was registered Sadar Rajpura police station on the complaint of Harwinder’s mother Kashmir Kaur.

said, “The incident took place on Thursday night when the accused woman attacked her husband with a kitchen knife. After heated arguments the woman attacked Harwinder by hitting a glass on his head which he survived but immediately she attacked him with a knife and silted his throat.”

The police said that Harwinder was rushed to the local hospital in

Mohali

from where he was shifted to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education And Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh however he succumbed to his injuries on Friday. A case was registered against the woman and two other accused including Gagan who is the alleged paramour of the accused woman. The police have also booked Gurmukh Singh who is the father of the accused woman.
