He condemned the AAP's defiance after Atishi's highly objectionable utterances about the Gurus, saying "chori aur seena jori", will not be tolerated."This is Punjab and we Punjabis neither forget nor forgive any disrespect to our Gurus, and if you have any doubts, see the fate of Akali Dal," he warned the AAP against trying to cover up Atishi's remarks with its characteristic theatrics. The Ludhiana MP called upon the conscience of the Sikh leaders and workers in the AAP to register their protest against such sacrilegious utterances by the Delhi AAP leader. "Has your conscience died that you are not only remaining quiet, but are being party to the AAP's cover-up game?" he questioned the conscientious AAP leaders and workers.Warring said the AAP should be ashamed of what its leader Atishi said about the Gurus and instead of taking action against her and apologising to the Sikh panth, the AAP leaders orchestrated protests against the Congress leaders who exposed her.
"If you think that by trying to intimidate the Congress leaders with registration of FIRs and sponsored protests by hired goons you can hide the truth, you are badly mistaken," the Punjab Congress chief told the AAP leaders who tried to cover up the sacrilegious remarks of Atishi."The AAP apparently believes that the offence is the best defence, but it is badly mistaken," Warring noted while warning the AAP leaders, "this will boomerang on the party and such acts of disrespect to the Gurus cannot be forgiven".MSID:: 126454197 413 |
