Jat voters prior to Lok Sabha and assembly polls scheduled next year, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar-led BJP government celebrated a state level function on Dhanna Bhagat’s birth anniversary, who is also known as Dhanna Jat. Vice president Jagdeep Dhankar, who is also from the Jat community, was the chief guest. The program was held at the Dhanori village of Kaithal district.
During the occasion, CM Khattar focused on Dhanna Bhagat and made multiple announcements, including naming a medical college after him. “The life of Dhanna Bhagat will be mentioned in textbooks, and a statue of him would be installed in Dhanori village,” said the CM.
The CM announced Rs 7 crore for the development of Dhanori village. He also announced plans to build a women college in the village, besides supply of drinking water to the village through Bhakra Canal. The CM also announced to give Rs 21 lakh for Dhanori’s Gaushala.
