Vigilance begins video survey of Badal's house

CHANDIGARH: A team of Vigilance Bureau officials have begun video survey of Akali Dal President and former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal''s residence located in Sector 9, a posh locality of this city, on Sunday afternoon.
The officials equipped with video cameras are currently capturing the interiors of the house, including the bedrooms and even toilets which are reportedly fitted with foreign and expensive materials, on tape.They are also surveying the lawns and construction material lying on the premises of Badal''s palatial bungalow.
The survey is part of a crackdown launched by the Congress government against some top Akali Dal leaders, including Parkash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal. Former Punjab Chief Minister Badal, however, has termed Amarinder''s actions as vendetta.
Recently, Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani had expressed reservations on the Amarinder government''s actions.
