PATIALA: To Honour Dr. Gurmohan Singh Walia, the newly appointed Vice- Chancellor of Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Fatehgarh Sahib, Khalsa College Patiala organized a function.
Dr. Walia, a recipient of Vijay Rattan Award, Rattan-e-Punjab Award and Jewel of India Award, while speaking at the occasion expressed his heartiest gratitude to all those who have played a pivotal role in expanding his career.
He praised Dr. Dharminder Singh Ubha, Principal of the college, as a paragon of hard-work and sincerity embellished with positive energy and moral vision.
He also talked about the central role played by Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar, former President, S.G.P.C, Sri Amritsar in generating new vistas for this sacred body of Sikhs. Dr. Walia also felt indebted to Dr.
Manmohan Singh, Cardiologist for catering excellently to his physical and mental well being. He assured all that the University will always pave way for new researches because Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji offers inexhaustible topics of research.
Prof Badungar said that he had always predicted the success of Dr. Walia based on his gigantic achievements as a Principal of Mata Gujri College, Fatehgarh Sahib and Director of Education, S.G.P.C, Sri Amritsar. He prayed that Dr. Walia should always be bestowed with mental and physical health to continue the precious work that he is engaged in. This will testimonize the overall sound development of university and create its place among the top universities of the world.
Harmail Singh Tohra while presenting the vote of thanks applauded the meritorious works done by Dr. Walia and said that only such visionaries can bring about huge changes in all the structures around them.
