The museum's boundary walls have received a fresh coat of red paint, while its exhibits are being cleaned up. According to sources, there are instructions that even the smallest pencil mark should be rubbed off from the walls inside the museum.
The stretch of road from Matka Chowk to Capitol Complex is also getting a makeover. Paver blocks have been repainted, city maps have been replaced, and signboards, road markings and zebra crossings have been painted again.
The guide map in Sector 10, which had been defaced by a grafitti for two years, has also been changed.
Teams comprising UT home secretary, SDM (south), Alliance Francaise director and other delegates from Franch inspected the spots that Hollande is going to visit.
With over 100 workers each being stationed to clean up all locations to be visited by Hollande, even the sculptures at Rock Garden are being cleaned every day.
At the Tagore Theatre, bushes on and outside the premises of the Le Corbusier creation in Sector 18 are being trimmed. Insecticides have also been sprayed in the area to ensure the visit is an insect-free one.
At the museum, slective artwork would be placed in the hall to catch Hollande's attention and ensure his visit is an interesting one.
