Two booked for impersonation in ADA exam in Haryana’s Panchkula
CHANDIGARH: The Haryana police have registered a case against two individuals for their alleged involvement in a well-knit conspiracy and impersonation found during the facial biometric verification process at the Assistant District Attorney (ADA) examination held at DC Model Senior Secondary School in Panchkula on July 29.
According to the police, it was found that Surjit Singh, son of Dharamvir Jatt from Gadwal in Sonipat, appeared under the name of Kapil Singh with roll no. 12578 during the ADA examination after the facial scan of candidates.
During the examination, Surjeet Singh's photograph was scanned as part of the facial biometric verification process. Upon comparison, it was found to be identical to the photograph of another person who had appeared for the HCS (Ex. Br.) Other Allied Services Preliminary Examination 2021. In the HCS exam, Surjeet Singh had appeared under the name of Deepak Kumar, with Roll No. 225985, at Hindu Sr. Secondary School, Rewari (Centre Code-401), reads the First Information Report (FIR).
Surjeet Singh used the same photograph in both examinations, indicating a well-planned conspiracy and impersonation. Consequently, a case has been registered against Kapil Singh and Surjeet Singh under sections 419, 420, and 120B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 8(1) of the Haryana Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2021, as mentioned in the First Information Report (FIR).
The police are actively investigating the matter, and authorities are taking necessary measures to promptly apprehend the other accused, Kapil Singh.
