Two arrested for Karnal man’s murder

Karnal: With the arrest of two persons, including a woman, the Karnal police have claimed to have cracked a murder case of a 27-year-old man, whose body found in Choudhary colony late Sunday night. The police have seized a knife, which was allegedly used to commit the crime, and a motorcycle that was stolen from the deceased from the both accused.

The accused were identified as Vishal Sandhu, a resident of Kheri Mann Singh village in Karnal district and his wife Anjali alias Meenu. The police have claimed that both were arrested from Karnal city on Wednesday morning. DSP Virendra Saini told media persons that Vishal Sandhu, an employee of a private company, and his wife are allegedly drug addicts and used to steal from others to buy drugs.

2 booked in another case

Hisar police have registered a murder case against two men five days after the suspicious death of a man. Earlier, the deceased’s family members and villagers protested by blocking the road near Bado Patti village, urging police to take action. The deceased is identified as Suraj, a resident of Dhiktana village of Hisar. Hisar police spokesperson said Barwala police have registered a case on the complaint of Rajendra, the uncle of the deceased, also a resident of Dhiktana village, under section 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code against Ravinder and Hanuman alias Minni. tnn
