<div class="section1"><div class="Normal"><span style="" font-family:="" arial="">BATHINDA: The Bathinda police have booked three cops, including a head constable and two constables for corruption charges. The police men, Labh Singh, Balwinder Singh and Gurmit Singh were accused of releasing the offenders after accepting bribes from them.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="">In one case, the accused nabbed one Ravi Pradhan from Bir Bahaman village and recovered 8 kg poppy husk from him.
But instead of registering any case against the accused, the police men set him free after taking away his watch and all cash with him.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="">In another case, they nabbed some persons gambling at cremation ground of Janta Nagar but instead of booking them for the offence of gambling, the cops took Rs 3000 and released them.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="">Sources in police revealed that two of the accused police men, Balwinder Singh and Gurmit Singh are already facing a criminal case for corruption. Sources revealed that the police authorities had received numerous complaints against the accused for them indulging in corruption.</span><br /><br /><span style="" font-family:="" arial="">The present case has been registered one a complaint of Jagjit Singh, station house officer (SHO) of Cantonment police station.</span></div> </div>
