CHANDIGARH: The administration on Monday announced its decision to organize a four-day Chandigarh Theatre Festival from September 24 to 27. The festival will be inaugurated by chief secretary, government of Haryana, Dharam Vir.
Addressing a press conference, director, cultural affairs, RS Verma said four plays will be staged during the theatre festival.

Renowned TV artists including Bharat Kapoor, Sulbha Arya, Rajan Shrivastava and Avtar Gill will be showcasing their skills in the plays. ���Taj Mahel Ka Tender��� play written by Ajay Shukla and directed by Kuldeep Sharma will be presented on September 24 while comedy play ���Biwi O Biwi��� would entertain the audience on September 25. The play has been written and directed by Rakesh Bedi.
A classic evergreen comedy play ���Shatranj Ke Mohre��� will mesmerize the city residents on September 26. Written by PL Pandey and directed by Ramesh Talwar, the satire is longest running play of Indian Peoples Theatre Association (ITPA), Mumbai, and has recently completed 38 successful years of production. Another play ���Massage��� written by Vijay Tendulkar and directed by Harbans Singh would be performed on September 27.
