Chandigarh: Ajay Tewatia, district and sessions judge of Jhajjar, was elected president of the Haryana Judges Association on Saturday, defeating Desh Raj Chalia of Bhiwani in a direct contest during polls held on Friday and Saturday.
Madhu Khanna Lalli, additional district and sessions judge and presiding officer of the labour court in Ambala, won the vice-presidency by beating Puneet Limbha, additional civil judge magistrate of Panipat. Sher Singh, civil judge junior division in Chandigarh, secured the secretary post over Amitendra Singh of Faridabad. Mohammad Imtiyaj Khan of Gurugram and Rajvinder Singh of Guhla were elected joint secretaries.
Rishabh Aggarwala, civil judge junior division, was elected treasurer unopposed. Parikshit Sumil Kumar Saini, Deepali Sinla and Munish won uncontested seats as executive members.
