CHANDIGARH: As the assembly elections have been announced in neighbouring Himachal Pradesh, the central leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has given a task to it city unit to visit the poll-bound state and contribute there to the party’s campaign.

has been given the responsibility of Una district. He attended a meeting in this regard on Wednesday. Held at Ghumarwin in Bilaspur district, the meeting was presided over by Bharatiya Janata Party’s national general secretary (organization) Ram Lal and Union health and family welfare minister JP Nadda.

After strategic discussion regarding the upcoming elections in Himachal Pradesh, Tandon was given the responsibility to look after five constituencies of Una district. Chandigarh’s BJP municipal councillor Ravikant Sharma and some other workers of the local unit of the party also visited Himachal Pradesh along with Tandon and attended the meetings there to work out campaign strategy of the saffron party.

The BJP is alone to get into battle mode. The Chandigarh Congress leaders also are set to visit Himachal Pradesh to give support to the party campaign in the coming assembly elections.
