‘Sultan’, ‘Veer Zaara’ actor duped of Rs 42 lakh

MOHALI

: Police have booked a man for allegedly duping actor-cum-director and line producer Darshan Aulakh of Rs 42 lakh on the pretext of selling him a plot in Nayagaon.


Aulakh, a resident of Sector 21D, Chandigarh, has acted in Salman Khan-starrers

Sultan

and Bajrangi Bhaijaan and in Phantom, Veer Zaara and Hollywood movie

Zero Dark Thirty

. He has also played several roles in Punjabi movies too. Aulakh alleged he had booked an 8-marla plot after paying Rs 42 lakh to Harchand Singh in 2011, but he neither gave possession of the plot nor returned the money.

Aulakh said, “The accused had promisedto givehim a plot near a seasonal rivulet.”
