Sukhbir, Badal, wife disclose Rs 13.41 cr

<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">FARIDKOT: At a time when Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh is clamouring about Parkash Singh Badal and his son Sukhbir Singh Badal amassing properties worth Rs 44,00 crore allegedly by indulging in corruption during their five years regime (1997-2002), many were waiting impatiently the disclosure of assets by Sukhbir Badal in his nomination papers for LS on Wednesday.<br /><br />But throwing all calculations of Amarinder Singh in the sea, Sukhbir and his wife Harsimrat Kaur have pegged up their entire movable and immovable assets at Rs 13,41,00790.<br /><br />In the controversial Orbit Resort Pvt. Ltd. Gurgaon, a property owned by Badal family, which was being estimated of having value Rs 500 crore by Amarinder Singh, Sukhbir Badal claimed in his nomination paper of owning shares of worth Rs 5,48,96,900 in the resort. In an affidavit enclosed with the nomination papers, Sukhbir said he had 563,297 shares in Orbit Resort Ltd.<br /><br />In Balasar Farm House of Badal family, spreading in 33.5 acre land in Sirsa district, the other most controversial property owned by Badal family, Sukhbir claimed only having share of value Rs 2,50,20,000.<br /><br />Sukhbir may be roaming in luxurious, deluxe and ultra modern cars like Mercedes but the ''poor'' guy has only an old model Messi Furguson 254 MV tractor, having value Rs 1 lakh, to show in list of motor vehicles owned by him, submitted with nomination papers.<br /><br /><br /></div> </div><div class="section2"><div class="Normal"><br />Having accounts in eight banks at Chandigarh, New Delhi, Badal and Bathinda, Sukhbir has shown total deposits of Rs 3,45,399 and having Rs 1,50,000 cash-in-hand.<br /><br />Sukhbir claimed of having equity shares of value of Rs 24.42 lakh, Rs 17,99,400, Rs 28,55,310, Rs 5.1 lakh, Rs 2 lakh and Rs 100 in Integral Deposits (P) Ltd, Falcon Properties (P) Ltd, Dabwali Transport Co (P) Ltd., Crystalline Deposits Co, Continental Hatcheries (P) Ltd and Taj Hire Purchase and Leasing (P) Ltd. respectively.<br /><br />Sukhbir and his wife claimed of having jewellery worth Rs 44 lakh.<br /><br />In the details of immovable assets, Sukhbir mentioned 40 acres agriculture land (worth Rs 1,07,50,000) at Badal village, 15.90 acre land (worth Rs 20, 38,000) and 7.75 acre land (worth Rs 9,92,000) at Sadulsahar in Rajasthan and 3.6 acre land (worth Rs 8,31,000) at Rania in Haryana. The non-agriculture land include 2 acre (worth Rs 24,70,000) at Badal.<br /><br />The details of commercial and residential buildings owned by Sukhbir include 2400 square (bank and shops) worth Rs 7,75,000 at Badal, a petrol pump worth Rs 25,30,000 at Badal, share in commercial flat at New Delhi worth Rs 15 lakh, two flats worth Rs 40 lakh at New Delhi, residential house worth Rs 2.10 crore in Balasar. The list includes a house situated at sector 9, Chandigarh worth Rs 2.52 crore. The house was in controversy for having a dancing floor and fitting of imported tiles and sanitary wares during vigilance department raids last year. A shop cum office in sector 9 has been valued at Rs 29.75 lakh by Sukhbir. Sukhbir has mentioned Rs 1,44,11,810 as his outstanding liabilities.<br /><br /><formid=367815></formid=367815></div> </div>
