Suicide: 21-yr-old acquitted

CHANDIGARH: A local court on Wednesday acquitted 21-year-old Vivek Chauhan, booked for forcing his minor girlfriend to commit suicide.
The allegations levelled against the Sector-31 resident by the deceased���s mother and sister were that Chauhan had been troubling the 17-year-old, which had forced her to take the extreme step.
Citing the girl���s love-letter, the defence counsel proved that Chauhan was innocent.An FIR was registered under sections 306 and 366 of IPC in May 2007.
