CHANDIGARH: Remember the poignant "Mahiya tera vekhan nu chukk charkha gali de wich daavan" and "diva na bujhai haje raat baaki hei" by Wadali brothers. One of the voices in the rivetting song is that of Lakhwinder Wadali, a Sufi singer from Patiala Gharana, Punjab.
Around 100 youngsters and senior citizens soaked in the sounds of music and soothing tunes at Sector 17 Piazza on Saturday.

The performance was part of the performance, organized by The Times of India in association with FENFURO. Lakhwinder said, "I find a way to connect with God and also touch people's heart."
A student of Punjab Engineering College, Ajit Yadav, who had come to attend the event with friends, said, "I thoroughly enjoyed the performance in the company of my friends. It helped us to touch base with Sufi music after a long time. There is so much to learn about the intricacies of this genre of music." His renditions of "Vakta jawa chheven dariya" from the movie "Chhevan Dariya" was simply breathtaking, he added.
A former member of the rock band, Circles, Ganesh Rampal said, "His voice reminds us of his famous songs from the album "Bulla" and "Jashan". We all have become a part of his renditions of classic rock songs."
