Stir over Rekha Sharma’s remarks on ex-CM Bhajan Lal

Hisar: Protests erupted across Haryana on Friday over BJP Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma's "derogatory remarks" against former chief minister Chaudhary Bhajan Lal. Supporters of Bhajan Lal and Kuldeep Bishnoi lodged complaints in at least 16 districts, seeking an FIR and strict action against the MP.Complaints were submitted to police in Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Gurugram, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal (Kalayat), Karnal, Kurukshetra, Mahendragarh, Nuh, Ambala, Panchkula, Panipat, Sonipat, Yamunanagar and Charkhi Dadri. Protesters warned of intensifying the agitation if action is delayed, with more complaints planned.Complainants alleged Sharma used offensive language at a public event, reportedly calling Bhajan Lal a "badmash", hurting sentiments and disrespecting his legacy.
