Statue of Dhingra vandalised

Hisar: The Hisar police has registered a case after “unknown persons” vandalised a statue of martyr Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra in a park at Barwala. Police have registered a case in this regard and started an investigation.
Hisar police said that the Barwala police station has registered a case on the complaint of Vivek, secretary of Barwala market committee, against unknown persons under Sections 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) and 427 (mischief) of the Indian Penal Code.
In the complaint to the police, Vivek said that Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra Park is the Barwala Market Committee but was handed over to Lions Club of Barwala for a year.
Police said that a case has been registered in this regard and CCTV footage of the surrounding area is being scanned to identify the culprits.
