CHC Tripuri gets state-of-art ultrasound machine worth Rs 25 lakh
PATIALA: Punjab health and family welfare and medical education minister, Dr Balbir Singh, inaugurated a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine worth rupees 25 lakh at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Tripuri, aiming to enhance healthcare services for residents of the Patiala rural constituency and Tripuri area.
Dr Balbir Singh highlighted that chief minister Bhagwant Mann has approved the upgradation and expansion of CHC Tripuri. The hospital will soon undergo a facelift, including the addition of a new floor, operational lifts, and renovated bathrooms. He assured that these improvements will be completed within two months.
He said, “With the installation of the new ultrasound machine, CHC Tripuri is now better equipped to cater to the community’s healthcare needs. This, coupled with existing X-ray facilities, will significantly enhance maternal and child healthcare services.”
Dr Balbir Singh also announced the upgradation of Dr Khushdeva Singh Chest and TB Hospital, which will soon feature new emergency and ICU facilities.
He added that feedback mechanisms are being implemented at district hospitals and Mohalla Clinics, where patients are being contacted to share their experiences. “This feedback is instrumental in driving improvements in our healthcare system,” he said.
Patient facilitation centres are also being established at Mata Kaushalya Hospital and Rajindra Hospital to further ease access to healthcare services.
Director of Punjab Health System Corporation Dr Anil Kumar, and others were present at the occasion.
