Sidhu Moose Wala’s parents protest outside Mansa SSP’s office
Bathinda: Angry over no action on a complaint filed nearly six months ago, the parents of slain rapper Shubhdeep Singh alias Sidhu Moose Wala on Wednesday staged a sit-in outside the office of the senior superintendent of police in Mansa. The aggrieved parents had filed a complaint against the manager and others associated with the two digital music companies set up by their son over some financial issues.
Sidhu Moose Wala's father, Balkaur Singh, and mother, Charan Kaur, holding Moose Wala junior, accused the police of sitting on their complaint despite providing every proof, even as they were already in pain after losing their only son to the gangsters.Sidhu Moose Wala was gunned down on May 29, 2022, a day after his security was reduced. "Earlier, our son was snatched from us and now, we are failing to get the income generated from our son's companies. Two companies were set up by Sidhu Moose Wala, and we learnt that income of crores was generated, but no bank accounts and sources of income are being provided to us. I first gave the complaint to the Punjab Police DGP on June 8, 2025, against the manager of the company, Bunty Bains, and others associated with the company, which was marked to the Mansa SSP for inquiry. The Mansa police are investigating it since Aug 2025," said Balkaur Singh."I learnt that the inquiry report was lying with the Mansa SSP for the last five days, but it is not being opened," he said. "I filed a complaint about the unauthorised use of my son's unreleased tracks and profit from his legacy. Nothing was done about the complaint, and if the police feel the complaint is false, they should return the complaint," Balkaur Singh added.Balkaur Singh alleged that the track featuring Moose Wala's vocals was released without proper consent or rights, violating the family's trust.Charan Kaur, meanwhile, alleged that some people were eyeing their son's income. "We wanted to highlight how the govt is treating us. People should know about all this," she said.Bunty Bains previously denied the allegations, stating that he had no financial dealings with the Moose Wala family.Harjit Singh, DIG, Bathinda Range, who was on a visit to Mansa, called the couple for talks and said the police were looking into the complaint and appropriate action would be taken soon.Balkaur Singh also hit out at chief minister Bhagwant Mann. The CM claims that he has launched ‘Operation Prahaar' against gangsters, but in our case, no appropriate action was taken against the gangsters. The people close to the CM are trying to weaken our case, he added.MSID:: 128208500 413 |
