FAZILKA: A BSF Constable has reportedly died during duty hours along the Indo-Pak border in Fazilka, on Thursday.
According to information, the deceased constable has been identified as Mugandha Madhavan, son of
Balan, resident of
Tamil Nadu, who was with the 55 Battalion of the BSF and posted at Chak Amira Border out Post in Fazilka.
The BSF officials claim that after eating food, the BSF jawan had left for duty when he suddenly fell due to dizziness.
He was immediately brought to the government hospital in Fazilka, where he was declared brought dead.
Giving information, Satnam Singh, assistant sub inspector, who reached the government hospital in Fazilka, said that the police had received information that BSF jawan posted on duty at BOP Chak Amira in the India-Pakistan border area, has died.
He said that it is likely death due to heart attack but the real case of the death could be ascertained after the post mortem. Meanwhile, the BSF has informed the family of the decease and they are on their way to Fazilka to collect the body.
