Self-immolation bid near police stn

Panchkula: A man in his mid-40s attempted to set himself on fire outside the Pinjore police station on Tuesday. Shashi Bhushan Rai, a resident of Lohgarh village, Pinjore, had a marital dispute. He and his wife were called to the police station for recording their statements. As the matter got heated up, Shashi stormed out of the police station, poured petrol on himself and lit a match. He was referred to PGI, Chandigarh.
