School students promote green Diwali

Sant Isher Singh Public School

on Monday took out a rally. Principal Inderjeet Kaur Sandhu flagged the rally which commenced from the premises of the school.

The students took out the rally on the roads of Phase 7 carrying banners and placard highlighting the importance of Cleaner India-Greener India. They raised slogans like 'Say No Crackers', 'Clean India-Green India', 'Green Diwali–Happy Diwali' etc. The students visited houses to give the message of 'Pollution free Diwali'.

Hardip Kaur Gill, director of the school, said that such endeavours by students were more effective in educating people about noble causes.
