HISAR: The staff association of State Bank of India has decided to launch an agitation against the government's privatisation policy.
SBI employees oppose privatisation move
HISAR: The staff association of State Bank of India (SBI) has opposed the privatisation policy of the government and has decided to launch an agitation against privatisation. The association organized a conference at Aggarsain Bhawan here on Monday.
Addressing the members of the association Deputy General Secretary H B Batra said," The privatisation is anti-people and anti-employee measure and we shall oppose it tooth and nail." He gave a call for solidarity to the employees to stall the Govt.

Batra warned the management of the bank to shun negative attitude or face the wrath of the employees.
Secretary of the Association O N Bindu alleged that in the name of liberalisation and globalisation the bank is exploiting the employees. The Govt. banks lack the basic facilities but their efficiency is being matched with foreign banks.
Association president D S Thakur condemned attacks on trade union rights and gave a clarion call for unity among employees. On this occasion J R Garg, M L Sehgal, S K Sood, D K Malhotra, H S Ranga and B S Rao also addressed the conference.
