Sangrur MP Hayer files papers for PCA secy post

Bathinda: AAP MP from Sangrur, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, on Wednesday filed nomination papers for the post of secretary in the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA), affiliated to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). As the sole contender, his election is almost certain once the electoral process concludes. The election is fixed for March 21.Before becoming an MP in 2024, Meet Hayer was sports minister in Punjab. The post of secretary in the PCA fell vacant after the resignation of AAP MLA Kulwant Singh, who stepped down on July 25, 2025, just two weeks after the association's office-bearers' elections.
