Saini’s attitude on sensitive issues irresponsible: AAP
Chandigarh: While Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini highlighted the achievements of the BJP-led govt in Haryana in New Delhi along with intensifying the attack on the state govt in Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) too chipped in to launch an attack on the BJP and Saini.National media in-charge of AAP, Anurag Dhanda, trained his guns towards the Haryana CM and the BJP over the former's statements made while addressing public meetings and programmes in Punjab. Dhanda said statements made by Saini were not only beyond facts, but were deliberate attempts to mislead the public and divert attention from the failures and scams of the BJP govt in Haryana.
"The CM's attitude on sensitive issues like floods, farmers' compensation and workers' assistance is extremely irresponsible. A govt that could not provide rights to suffering farmers and workers in its own state has no moral authority to preach to others," Dhanda said, adding that today in Punjab, Saini admitted that as soon as the BJP govt came to power in Delhi, it shut down Mohalla Clinics. This makes one thing clear: the BJP does not provide facilities to people, but shuts down facilities, he said.He said the biggest example is the approximately Rs 1500-crore work-slip scam that came to light in Haryana's labour department, which exposed the historic fraud committed against poor workers. In the investigation of about 6 lakh work-slips in the Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, over 5.46 lakh were found to be fake, meaning more than 90 per cent irregularities.Dhanda said the biggest injustice was done to Haryana's youth in the form of recruitment scams. Between 2014 and 2024, over 20 recruitment scams came to light, including HTET, HSSC, HPSC and police recruitment. More than 29 FIRs were registered, and several examinations were cancelled, he said, adding that in 2025, a case of fraud with youth through a fake recruitment website also came to light, which proved that the corrupt network is still active.Anurag Dhanda said these scams had a direct impact on Haryana's economic condition. After 2014, the state's debt increased to approximately Rs 4 lakh crore by 2024-25. "If so much debt was taken, where did that money go?" he questioned, further adding that neither the condition of govt schools improved, nor hospitals, nor farmers' income increased, nor did youth get permanent employment. He said statements like "people of Punjab have made up their minds" are proof of arrogance and being disconnected from reality. The public is wise and knows who did real work in crisis and who just made statements. CM Saini's funny and hollow statements cannot change the truth.Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, during a Punjab visit on Friday, said the coming time belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party and, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Punjab will become a leading state of the country. He said that as soon as a BJP govt is formed, the pace of development in Punjab will accelerate and all the public welfare schemes of the Central Govt will be effectively implemented on the ground.Saini was addressing a Samman Samaroh held in Panjola village, Punjab, as the chief guest on Friday. On his arrival at the venue, the organiser Satpal Poonia warmly welcomed him by presenting a bouquet and a siropa. It may be recalled that Saini spearheaded the important BJP functions in Punjab and facilitated residents of Punjab for the past over 1 year. Like his predecessor Manohar Lal Khattar, Saini took active interest in Punjab politics. MSID:: 127993382 413 |
