PANCHKULA: After knowing that Panchkula cops are now considering the kidnapping case of realtor���s as
murder, the family of realtor is now shocked. With days passing, the family is also losing hope of return of Deepak Rai Sagar.
Sameer Sagar, a son of Sagar, said though they were in a state of shock to hear that his father was probably murdered, they had to face the truth. He said condition of his mother was not good. She couldn���t sleep in the nights as well.
He further added that they were suspecting from the initial day that business rivals of their father had murdered them but police took five-month time to realize that it is case of murder and not mere kidnapping.
Sameer Sagar said that despite court dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of three suspects, police was not making any serious efforts to arrest them. He said when he approached cops to arrest these suspects, they said that they were busy in the security of some VIP function.
Similarly, Deepak Rai Sagar���s brother-in-law Subhash Bhalla said that five months had gone but police had made no headway in this case. He said that it seemed that cops were not interested in solving the case.
On Monday, cops had filed their reply before the session���s court in Panchkula and informed the court that they had added murder charges in this case as well. After this, court had dismissed the anticipatory bail plea filed by three suspects - New Delhi resident Rajesh Thapar, Gurgaon native Brijesh Kapoor and Panchkula habitantVinay Kumar.
Fiftyfour-year-old Deepak Rai Sagar had gone from his office in Sector-11, in his car to meet his friend, Vinay, at village Maheshpur in Panchkula on June 1. Vinay had told cops that Deepak had reached his home around 7.15 pm. He reportedly stayed there till 9 pm. After that, he went towards his house at Kendriya Vihar in Sector-14, Panchkula, but didn���t reach it.
When contacted, Panchkula SP Amitabh Dhillon, he said that they were putting their best effort to solve the case. He said that they were now trying to question the suspects. He added that investigation was still on.
