Russian scholars meet city mayor

CHANDIGARH: A delegation of Russian scholars headed by Vladimir Klimanov from Russian Presidential Academy, on Wednesday, held a meeting with the city mayor Asha Jaswal, additional commissioner Saurav Mishra and other MC officials.
The mayor welcomed the delegation in her office and gave brief introduction on various projects including roads, water supply, gardens and green belts, garbage processing plant, urban planning, architecture and development of Chandigarh among others.
Mishra gave brief presentation about solid waste management in the city while superintending engineer N P Sharma gave introduction about roads, horticulture and water supply and sewerage disposal system among others.
Before the meeting, the delegation visited water works at Sector 39, sewerage treatment plant and various gardens of city including Rose Garden & Rock garden among others
