Rohtak hits 44.6°C as heatwave grips Punjab & Haryana, relief likely on Sunday
Bathinda: Punjab and Haryana remain under a "yellow alert" as a severe heatwave pushed temperatures to 44.6°C in Rohtak and 44.3°C in Bathinda and Faridkot. These conditions are expected to persist through Sunday.According to IMD, the mercury has risen significantly above seasonal norms, with temperatures recorded up to 5°C higher than usual. On Friday alone, both states saw an average temperature rise of 0.5°C.
