RK Sharma's mother lashes out at son

PANCHKULA: The family drama involving the jailed inspector general of police Ravi Kant Sharma took a curious turn here on Tuesday when his mother accused him of trying to oust her from the family property. Addressing a press conference at her daughter Sudha Joshi's residence, Kamla Sharma said that Ravi Kant was using fraudulent means in trying to oust her from the property.''Ravi Kant made me sign some papers twice in the recent past. Once when I went to meet him in Tihar Jail and the second time when he had come here for the marriage ceremony of his daughter.'' She alleged that Sharma took advantage of her weak eyesight and hearing disability both the times and made her sign the will to his credit. Kamla Sharma alleged that she was facing mistreatment at the hands of her daughter-in-law Madhu Sharma. ''She is trying to keep me away from the house which was built by my husband G D Sharma,'' she said. Kamla Sharma, who had been residing with Ravi Kant Sharma at Gobind Niwas, the family's Sector 6 house in Panchkula, is now staying with her daughter Sudha Joshi at Manimajra. She said that her daughterin-law has been trying to keep her away from the house. ''She has thrown me out. After Ravi Kant's imprisonment she has taken control of the house and has mistreated me on several occasions,'' she said. Ravi Kant's mother said that her husband G D Sharma had left the house in her name but Madhu Sharma has refused to vacate the house. She said that she had not been keeping good health and has suffered two heart attacks in quick succession. ''I don't have the strength to take any legal action. If the house is not vacated, I will write to the prime minister, chief minister Om Prakash Chautala and the Haryana DGP to seek their help to get back my property,''she said. She said the house was built by her husband in 1978 and has been her home along with her son and his family after his death in 1999. In what appears to be an outcome of her soured relation with Madhu Sharma, Kamla Sharma went to the extent of alleging that it was Madhu who was responsible for the murder of Shivani Bhatnagar. '' My son is completely in control of Madhu Sharma,'' she said.
