Members of Jaspal’s family and the action committee members

seeking justice

for him reached Hanumangarh on Friday but the doctors there told them that the recovered body did not matched the given description. The family has now announced to march in protest towards Faridkot Congress MLA Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon’s house on June 5.

Jaspal Singh Katal Kand Virodhi Action Committee member Rajinder Singh said, “As police claimed to have recovered Jaspal’s body near Hanumangarh, we reached there and gave doctors there his description. After which doctors told that the body could not be of Jaspal.”

Resident of Panjawa village in Lambi, 22-year-old Jaspal was picked up by police on the night of May 18. He had died under mysterious circumstances on the wee hours of May 19. Police had claimed that he had committed suicide. A few hours later Faridkot CIA in charge inspector Narinder Singh had shot himself, allegedly after disposing of the body.

Ferozepur IG MS Chhina said that police are thoroughly investigating the case.
