Ram Rahim sentencing: Bus services restored partially

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Roadways have restored somes of its bus services in the state and surrounding areas of Chandigarh. Three days ago, Haryana roadways had ceased the services of 600 buses in view of security risks arising out of the verdict for Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet

Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) started its services on Saturday, includings its buses plying to Panchkula.

The buses of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) were also seen heading towards Delhi, as Himachal Pradesh’s state transporter resumed its service to Haryana. All Volvo bus services of Haryana Roadways to Delhi and Gurgaon have also been restored, said Chandigarh depot traffic manager for Haryana Roadways.

With bus services restarting, there was a rush of passengers at Sector 17 bus stand (ISBT-17). Officials said bus services to Rohtak, Sirsa and Hisar had been started partially. Full services will be restored after assessing the situation on Monday, said an officer.
