Bathinda: Heatwave conditions persist in Punjab and Haryana, with Bathinda recording 46.3°C and Rohtak 45.9°C. As compared to Monday, Punjab registered a rise of 0.9°C in average maximum temperatures, which were appreciably above normal by 3.8°C in the state. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 46.3°C in Bathinda.
As compared to Monday, Haryana registered a rise of 0.9°C in average maximum temperatures. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 45.9°C in Rohtak , followed by 44.8°C in Sirsa and Hisar, 43.6°C at Ambala, 43.4°C in Karnal.
However, due to a fresh western disturbance, isolated to scattered rainfall is likely over Himachal Pradesh during June 9-10 and during June 13-15. Isolated to scattered rainfall is also likely over Punjab and Haryana during June 11-15. Thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds (speed reaching 40-50 kmph, gusting to 60 kmph) are likely over Himachal Pradesh during June 11-12; with gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph, gusting to 50 kmph) likely over Himachal Pradesh during June 13-14.
