NEW DELHI: Punjab's chief minister Bhagwant Mann has approved the release of additional water to Rajasthan from Punjab's quota to meet military requirements at the Rajasthan border, according to an official statement released on Saturday.
The decision came after the Rajasthan government requested extra water supply, citing military needs at the border region.
"Not only water but Punjab can shed its blood for the sake of national interests," chief minister Mann stated.
