CHANDIGARH: Punjab and Haryana will lock horns at Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) stadium in Mohali on Thursday in the opening match of North Zone Vijay Hazare cricket tournament. Himachal Pradesh will take on Services at Sector 16 cricket stadium in Chandigarh.
Punjab is hosting the North Zone Vijay Hazare tournament this year and all the matches will be played at four venues, including Mohali, Sector 16 Chandigarh, Dhruv Pandove cricket stadium in Patiala and Gandhi Grounds in Amritsar.
As PCA Mohali is gearing to host World Cup matches, two matches of tournament have been shifted out of Punjab to Una in HP. The matches at Mohali at Chandigarh on Thursday start at 9am.
Punjab has announced its playing XI against Haryana which includes
Ravi Inder Singh, Sarul Kanwar, Uday Kaul (C ) WK, Mandeep Singh Mayank Siddana,
Taruwar Kohli,
Bipul Sharma, Amit Uniyal, Manpreet Goni, Rahul Sharma and Love Ablish. On the other side Haryana squad is led by Amit Mishra.
The umpires for the match would be Ravi R. Subramanyam, Virender Kumar Sharma and Rajeev Nayyar as Match Referee and VK Ramaswamy as an umpire coach.
The HP team that will play against Services by Paras Dogra will take on team at sector-16 cricket stadium.
