PATIALA: The police in Patiala have booked unidentified persons under sections of robbery for allegedly snatching a cab at gunpoint. The CIA officials of Patiala have started investigations in the matter however the police are still clueless.


The police said that the incident took place two days ago when some robbers snatched the car from the

complainant

on his way to

Binahedi village

of Patiala.

The case has been registered with the Sadar Nabha police under sections 392 (robbery), 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of

Indian Penal Code

and sections 25, 54, 59 of Arms Act on the complaint of

Damanpreet Singh of Sangrur

.

The complainant told the police that around four accused on a bike reached him at taxi-stand in Sangrur and asked him to drop two of the accused at Sector 17 in Chandigarh. The complainant further told the police that the two accused also paid him Rs 1,000 in advance but on the way near Binahedi village in Patiala, one of the accused asked him to stop the car on the pretext of peeing roadside. He further revealed in his complaint to the police that the accused took out their pistol and pointed towards his head and asked him to move out of the car.

“We are investigating into the matter and looking into the technical aspect also. The case is registered and the accused will be nabbed soon," said CIA officials.
