PU students attend summer school at Nottingham Trent University
CHANDIGARH: Two researchers of University Institute of Fashion Technology and Vocational development, Panjab University (PU) have successfully completed the first exchange programme between PU and Nottingham Trent University, UK.
Nikita and Ravneet Kaur, the two PhD students from UIFT & VD, attended the Global Summer School at Nottingham Trent University, UK, participating as avid learners to learn fashion photography. The exchange programme was a part of a MoU between UIFT & VD, PU and NTU, UK.
“It was a good learning experience and has added value to our existing knowledge,” said Ravneet. The students also got a chance to visit Nottingham’s 400-year-old Lace archives at the School of Art and Design. Nikita and Ravneet Kaur attended the fashion photography course in the School of Art and Design at NTU, UK from July 18 to July 22. “We are looking forward to more student exchanges between the two universities in the near future,” said MoU co-ordinator Dr Prabhdip Brar, UIFT & VD.
The summer school batch comprised of students from across the globe and students also learnt from each other’s diverse backgrounds and knowledge on fashion world. In an enriching experience, the students learnt fashion photography with a model in studio settings as well as outdoor settings. The tutor Ophelia Wynne is a professional photographer who has worked for many international fashion magazines.
