<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">YAMUNANAGAR: For the first time service voters would be entitled to cast their vote by proxy way in the coming Parliament election. <br /><br />Mrs Urvashi Gulati Chief Election Officer Haryana in an exclusive interview here today disclosed that there are 62000 service voters in the state of Haryana. <br /><br />She said that earlier these voters used to cast their vote through post.
She added that now anybody whose age is above 18 and is resident of that particular constituency if entitled by the service voters can cast his vote. She said that proxy voters would have to fill the Form 13-F and send it to the Army Authorities for the information. She added that now with this facility the persons who are in the services and are posted at distance places would be entitled to cast their vote.<br /><br />Mrs Gulati informed that 1 crore 23 Lac voters in Haryana would franchise their vote. She said that now 1.68 Lac new voters would cast their vote first time on 10th of May Parliament election in Haryana. She said that in Haryana 90.37 percent voters have been provided identity card whereas in country there are only 67 percent electorate who enjoy the facility of identity card. Mrs. Gulati said that Haryana has taken lead in a country as far as issuance of identity card is concerned.<br /><br />She further stated that there is no shortage of electronic voting machine and all 12555 polling stations in Haryana would be provided with such facility. She said that the teachers, state and Central Government employee would be deployed to conduct the election.<br /><br />Chief Election Officer said that first time in Haryana 50 percent polling person would be from the other district to ensure the purity of election process. She appealed to all the electorate of the state to cast their votes, which is sacred right of everybody. <br /><br />She informed that in Yamuna Nagar district 650315 electoral would franchise their votes out of which 350554 are men and 297596 are women and 2165 are service electorals. She said that the maximum voters in Yamuna Nagar district are from Yamuna Nagar constituency i.e. 143104 and minimum are from Radaur (reserve) 119809. In Sadhaura constituency there are 134199 voters, Chhachhrauli 121239 and Jagadhri 129799. Mrs. Gulati stated that there are 723 polling stations for voters in Yamuna Nagar district out of which 567 are in rural area<br />and 126 are in urban area.<br /><br />The Yamunanagar becomes the first district in Haryana State to have hitech voter list and for the assistance of general voters telephone help-line facilities have been provided. Mrs. Urvashi Gulati, Chief Electoral Officer; Haryana-cum-Coordinating Secretary, Distt. Yamunanagar has earlier inaugurated telephone helpline facilities.<br /><br />She said that for the assistance of general public a Touch Screen Machine and a Helpline have been installed in the premises of Mini Secretariat, Yamunanagar. Electors can find our their voting detail from this facilities whether his/her name is mentioned in the voter list or not. <br /><br />She added that the software was developed by National Informatic Centre Yamunanagar and is the result of the efforts of Election Department under the guidance of Mr. Vijayendra Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Yamunanagar. <br /><br />While giving the special features of the software Mr. Vijayendra Kumar said that any electorals could see his electoral data in detail on the touch screen installed in Mini Secretariat by simply pressing the button. <br /><br /><formid=367815></formid=367815></div> </div>
