Protesting for jobs, 4 teachers climb water tank
MOHALI: Four ETT (Elementary Teacher Training)
Police have rounded up 78 persons. The four, who climb the tank, were identified as Baghicha Singh, Amandeep Singh, Ravneet Kaur Source said around 2am, protesters started gathering on the spot and four of them climbed the water tank. Cops said that around 3.30am, they received information about the protest and immediately reached the spot and cordoned off the protest area. The cops said the protesters were asked to end the agitation but they refused to comply. Police force used hydraulic ladder to reach the protesters who had climbed the water tank to forcibly bring them down

“We have contacted the authorities several times. But nobody listen to us. So we are forced to climb the water tank. We just want jobs,” he said.

said they had passed the teachers’ eligibility test, along with all other subject tests, to be eligible for jobs. He further complained that many of them have even crossed the age limit now, and yet nobody is ready to listen to their grievances.
