, led to tension as students from the minority community strongly objected to it on Friday night. Tempers remained high for close to five hours during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday as students living in the hostel protested and demanded that action should be taken against her, or at least the student should be made to apologise.The institute authorities had immediately rushed to the hostel after students from the minority community started a dharma in the lawns of the hostel after 11pm on Friday, following a post by the girl student in support of Nupur Sharma. They even called the police.Initially, the girl student refused to remove her post. But after around five hours, she agreed to remove it and things settled down in the early hours of Saturday. Later, the girl’s parents took her home in Jammu.
