President’s Police Medal for 2 UT cops

Chandigarh: Deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Sita Devi and sub-inspector (S-I) Joginder Singh would be conferred with the President’s Police Medal for distinguished and meritorious services on Republic Day. DSP Sita is posted at the woman and child support unit, while Joginder at training centre, police lines, Sector 26. Twenty-one cops, including two DSPs, would be given the Administrator’s Police Medal. These include Dilsher Singh, assistant commandant, IRB; Harjit Kaur, DSP, traffic, Rajiv Kumar, inspector, crime branch; Usha Rani, SHO, women police station; Gyan Singh and Harbans Singh, both inspectors.TNN
